Growth Groups is the name of the small group ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, Bradenton, FL. Each group meeting together to study God’s Word, is called Growth Group. In Growth Groups each person will have an opportunity to Grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, Grow in Christ, Grow in connection with others, and Grow in community.

Groups meet at Calvary on Sunday mornings 9:30 - 10:30 am. New Growth Groups will begin Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Group Leader: Rick Speece

Topic/Type of Group: The Gospel of Mark

Rick created and developed an extensive study of the Gospel of Mark. This interactive study will lead you on a deeper journey into this gospel as you Grow closer to the Master. 

Location: Classroom in Fellowship Hall, adjacent to large classroom

Group Leader: RightNow Media Video Series

Topic/Type of Group: The Art of Parenting

This group is for parents and will be a video series from RightNow Media. This series is from FamilyLife and will help parents make faith the core of their parenting with intentional, biblical teaching and Christ-centered plans. Parents will end the experience with renewed confidence, fresh insights on raising children at different ages, and a parenting plan unique to each child’s personality and gifting. This 8 week plan will be followed by a 5 week video series based on the book, “Confident Parenting,” by Jim Burns.
